What's Collage?

Collage builds great looking thumbnails from your images, styles them all with slick graphical effects, and links them to other content on your site. With Collage you can add smooth Javascript animations like lightbox effects, slideshows, or a pop-up hovering info box. And you don't have to be an computer guru to do it. Just drag in a few images, select a style, and publish.

Always In Style

Collage makes it easy to take a bunch of chaotic images and style them all in a consistent beautiful page. Collage comes with built in styles that only require one-click to apply. Don't be fooled though, Collage lets you tweak and tinker with your styles all you want. There are dozens of ways to change backgrounds, reflections, drop-shadows, overlays, and just about anything else you can think of.

We've added lots of fun animation effects to Collage. With a single click you can add a LightBox effect, create a slide-show of your images, or add a hovering info box. All our effects are based on cross-platform Javascript, use the latest AJAX techniques, and since they don't rely on Flash, they even work on iPhone.

One Click

Publishing stylish images couldn't be easier. Select from a variety of included styles and click Apply. All the overlays, drop-shadows, reflections and effects are added to your images. There's no need to fiddle with any settings at all... unless you want to of course.

Lots of Knobs

If you want more control over your images then we've got lots of knobs for you to turn. Choose from background colors, borders, rounded corners, drop-shadows, reflections, and more. And everything has a few settings so that you can build exactly the web page that you need.

Live Preview

With so many settings it can be easy to get lost. So we built a live-preview of all of the graphical effects. As you tweak the knobs you can see the effects rendered onto your images in real time.

Light-what?

A light box is an animated image effect that zooms a large image onto the screen. Scaling it up so that it almost fills the entire window. And to make the image really stand out the rest of the content is darkened. The extra contrast makes your images look their best.

One Click

To enable the light box effect just click on checkbox. Collage automatically adds all the necessary Javascript, creates big (but not too big) images, and puts the whole page together. All you have to do is click and enjoy.

No Flash

Flash is great for some things, but it comes with a downside. It requires a special plugin on some browsers, you have to make sure you have the right versions, and of course, it doesn't work at all on an iPhone. That's why we build all our effects with pure Javascript. It's a built-in part of every browser and our Javascript library works all the way back to older platforms like IE6 on Windows 2000. And, of course, it works on an iPhone.

#1 Request

Our most requested feature has always been a way to connect photo slideshows into Collage. Now you can. And you can do it just by enabling the effect with one click. Now all your images can be shown in a lightbox environment with controls that mimic slideshows in Mac OS X. It's easy, it's got slick animation, and it makes your images look great.

In Control

Some web slideshows just don't have the fit and finish that Mac users expect. Our slideshow has controls that feel like you're using QuickLook in Mac OS X. And if you're not using them they even fade out slowly so there's not a single distraction from the images.

Easy

Adding a slideshow is super easy. All the images that you use in Collage will automatically be scaled to the right size, uploaded to the server, linked with powerful Javascript, and loaded with the latest AJAX techniques. All those complications are taken care of for you, so you can focus on what really matters, your content.

No Guru Needed

A lot of people pay big bucks to have Javascript gurus build customized scripts for their pages to do showy stuff. Now you can get all the snazzy animation, but without the guru. Hover boxes let you add a pop-up info box that jumps into view when the user drags their mouse over your image. It's a great way to give your users lots of extra info without cluttering up the design of the page.

Try Before You Click

Hover boxes give a user feedback about a link even before clicking. It drives people to quickly explore all your links and visit only what they're really looking for. Helping your users find what they need is the best way to keep them happy.

Any Box You Like

A hover box can be big enough to add a whole paragraph of info or small enough that it's barely noticeable, it's your choice. Add borders, a big bold background color and change up the fonts. Make your hover box fit the style of your page.
