PayLoom 1.0 is
here: Go get your
download.
We've cleaned up the bugs and nailed down the layout code and we're shoving a fledgling 1.0 out of the nest. This version should be substantially more stable and have some significantly improved layout. If you've been using the PayLoom beta you should definitely grab a copy and upgrade. And if you've been holding off, waiting until the beta tests were done then you're wait is over. Download a copy today and start selling this afternoon.
Don't forget that big screencast a did a few days back. If you need a jump-start then this is it! It runs from installation to publish with a whole lot of web-store in between. Check it out.
YourHead Labs
We've been brewing up some fun new pages back at the lab. They're not done yet. We're hoping the new page arrives before the holidays, but it's hard to say for sure. What we do know is that you can have a sneak peak on some of the first output.
OK, here's the link, but you have promise not to tell anyone what you see. It's called the Kwix.

Web Store Screencast

PayLoom is super easy to set up. Just drag in some
images, set up your PayPal address and you're in
business. I mean really, you could start a business
in about 5 minutes. It's that easy.
But... still we've had a lot of questions. Getting the plugin installed, getting all the info entered, and building the whole site can still be pretty confusing for someone new to e-Commerce.
That's where a screencast can really help out. In a screencast I can show you all the details from beginning to end; leave out nothing, and finish with a real web store ready to be published.
This is my longest screencast to date. So if you want to learn about PayLoom this should be a great start. Here's the breakdown:
1. What is PayLoom.
2. Installing PayLoom.
3. Adding your first product.
4. Customizing your product.
5. Adding more products.
6. Setting up PayPal.
7. Building custom Success/Cancel pages.
I have two versions for you to choose from. Enjoy.

If you haven't been keeping tabs on the RapidWeaver forum you've been missing all the action. The PayLoom beta testing has been turning up some challenging bugs and Mike and I have been squashing them as fast as we can.
Yesterday a bug in Internet Explorer rendering turned up so we brewed a pot of coffee booted up the PC for testing and started squashing some bugs.
Internet Explorer is a pain. No one wants to support all it's quirks and bugs. BUT WE HAVE TO! Why? It's because about 70% of the world still uses that awful thing. And if you intend to sell things on the web, then there's no way to avoid it.
The end result? Internet Explorer 6 is happy with PayLoom and even supports all those snazzy image effects like reflections and drop-shadows. Now you can breath easier and get to work building your web store... for everyone.
