DOUBLEZOT
27/02/07 13:00
Don't know if anyone else noticed, but RapidWeaver
is MacZotting.
I figured, why not Zot too. So if you're interested for 24-hours we'll be matching the RapidWeaver Zot on our big bundle.
But since our regular Mega Bundle deal is so good and the spirit of the Zot says 24-hours only. We will absolutely have NO EXTENSIONS, NO BACKDATES to this special sale. So get it while it's hot. If you missed it -- well -- time to go tell Mr. Zot that you want a real YourHead Zot... hint, hint, hint.
DOUBLEZOT to YourHead 30% off all plugins

Release
I'm releasing Blocks 2.3.1 today: Go get your download.
A few people informed me that there were a just a few more things that needed sorting out. So I'm going to sneak them in right behind 2.3. A couple more options when adding Plugin content (that one's for Nik) and a browse button for when you need to choose Rollover images. Plus a few bugs that managed to avoid detection by my beta testers.
Also I should note that we had a bit of server trouble during the previous launch. Right after I posted all the links the DreamHost servers went dark. It turns out that they were having a scheduled power outage (whatever that means). Unfortunately it lasted longer than they expected and pretty much all of Europe woke up to dead links and bounced email. Judging by my traffic once things were back online, I suspect that many people missed out on this important update. So I'm going through the whole release process one more time. Let's hope I reach a few more people this time.

Release
Blocks 2.3
is here.
Go get your download: Blocks 2.3
Blocks 2.3 has a truely astounding number of new features. That number is zero! That's right. There are absolutely no new features in Blocks 2.3.
But you're definitely going to want it.
We've put aside aspirations of adding all those glamorous features to bring you a release that polishes the GUI, fixes the bugs, and perfects the generated HTML. We've listened hard to all those emails and forum posts and tried to clean up just about every last little blemish that we could find. The list started small, but after month of cleanup the change list has really grown. Check it out:

Block Info Window

Javascript
- The font resizing when text overflows the bounds has been rewritten from the ground up. This is a BIG DEAL. It may seem almost unnoticeable, but it is a really major overhaul.
Interface
- New flexible Block Info window (like Carousel)
- Blocks now highlight in their own color
- Blocks highlight more noticably when selected
- You can now "extend" the selection with shift or cmd key modifiers
- Shift - Arrow now nudges by 10 px - Arrow alone still nudges by 1 px
- The main edit pane aligns according to the page alignment
- Option drag (to duplicate) now works correctly on more than one item.
Block Info Window
- Text field formatters are used to so fields show "200px" instead of having "px" on the outside of fields.
- Many controls are conditionally enabled more intelligently
- The "Advanced" settings have been distributed to their appropriate places and a popup warning is used instead of the old static warning.
Images
- Import of hi-res images (not 72 dpi) is now seamless.
Page blocks
- Can now use RapidBlog
- Can now use Contact Form
- Can now choose to grab the sidebar content instead of the main page content.
Code generation
- Code is now xHTML/CSS strict.
- Theme styles should be eliminated around images. No really. I mean it. This time for sure.
- The blocks wrapper is extended to 100% but is reduced to 95% just in IE.

There are so many new things in this version that we added a page to our site just to list 'em all. Have a look.
But, for those with lazy clicking fingers, here's the short list:
AJAX Image Loading
Content On the Top Layout
Image Scaling on Import
Really Original "Original" Image Format
Efficient Storage of Images
New Style Preview
Hide the Buttons
Hide the Titles
New MooTools libraries
Better IE Support
It's a big list. I think you might just want to download it.
Did I mention Henk's styles? Go get some.
