My backpacking trip was successful. I'm now
thinking a bit more clearly and after a week has
passed my legs are not so sore either. I walked
from the headquarters of Big Basin to the exit of
Butano State Park in the Santa Cruz mountains here
in California. It's not an awfully long way. If you
includes some extra walks I did it was a bit more
than 7 miles a day. And only one day had any
incline. Not so tough.
I promised to post some images of my journal. I tend to write and draw a bit. I'm neither a good writer, nor a good sketch artist, so set your expectations low and you might be impressed.
I'm a little hesitant to post them as the my one drawing from this trip is pretty mediocre and the writing is particularly prosaic. But there is one thing about the post that's interesting... but I'll leave it as a challenge to the reader to figure out exactly what it is.
Here's a hint though: unlike sketching a prose, it happens to be the one thing that I'm extra good at doing.

Where in the world is...

From time to time I like to get out in the wilderness and see the trees. So this weekend I'll be backpacking a ways through the Santa Cruz mountains. I leave Friday morning for the woods and if all goes well I should emerge down near the coast a few days later.
While I'm away Christi will be handling the critical email messages, but if it's a technical or HTML question and you need an answer before Monday you may want to check the RapidWeaver forum. There's some really bright guys over there.
Remember, there are lots of other great ways to get the info you need too. We've got a great Wiki, our very own forum, a FAQ, and even some cool screencasts. And when all else fails you can RTFM. ;-)
I'm going to lug my big camera along with me, so I promise to bring back some nice pictures. And if you ask really nice I might even post my Moleskine journal pages too.
